L&G Engineering performs all types of hydraulic design, including storm drain systems, hydraulic design of bridges over waterways, culverts, open channel design, sedimentation filtration systems, flood plain analysis, detention/retention ponds, storm water quantity and quality control systems and channel modifications. Each can be all or part of a larger facility that drains water.
Hydraulic Design is a very important aspect of any project because flooding can be a very real and extensive problem. In analyzing or designing drainage facilities, our investment of time, expense, concentration, and task completeness is influenced by the relative importance of the facility. Some of the basic components inherent in the design or analysis of any highway drainage facility include data, surveys of existing characteristics, estimates of future characteristics, engineering design criteria, discharge estimates, receiving facilities, and structure requirements and constraints.
